Kyoko Muraji

Ramen Muraji Kyoto Gion

You can see it from the main street of Gion located along the side of the Kiridoshi alley and Kyomachiya, a town house of Kyoto, a block away from city noise. Our little shop curtain and “andon”, a Japanese lantern, at the entrance are the landmarks of our restaurant. Please come in and enjoy our Kyoto style cuisine.

Going into a small square yard with Chozu stone which has been used for washing your hands since long time ago, you will find our quiet tatami-mat rooms secluded from the outside world behind the crisscross wooden door, Koshido. On the first floor, we have tucked away counter seats just like bar counters. On the main second floor, you can see seasonable flower arrangements that amuse your eyes.

Inside our restaurant, everything included wallpaper, lamps and other ornaments is based on Japanese traditional art. We proudly present you all a pleasant atmosphere while you are enjoying your meals.

Walking through the flower-filled aisle inside the restaurant, there are counter seats over the main kitchen, and the other side of it, we have tables available for large groups as well.

Ramen Muraji Muromachi

Standing by the intersection of Muromachitakoyakushi, the building of Muraji Muromachi was renovated from a western style building of Taisho era ,well known for its romantic feature. The signboard which was written by our female owner is the landmark.

At Muromachi, we have counter seats on the first floor and tables on the second floor. As a renovated Taisho era building,it has a retrospective atmosphere which modern buildings cannot imitate. The maximum capacity is up to 7 at first floor, 19 for the second floor.

Enjoy a bowl of white chicken soup noodles at the heart of Kyoto business district, Karasuma. For quick lunch, please have a seat on the first floor. If you feel like having a relaxing dinner with your friends or using for a large group, the second floor fits your needs. We also have seasonable dishes ready for you.

The building of Ramen Muraji Muromachi has selected for one of “the buildings which wanted to keep in Meirin school ward for the future in 2013” You can feel a retrospective atmosphere inside the restaurant. The interior decorations such as wallpaper and knick-knacks will make you feel like you are in Taisho era.

Ramen Muraji Pontocho

On the stone paved alley, you can find our little shop curtain and “andon”,a Japanese lantern, at the entrance of our restaurant. As evening deepens into night, Geisha and Maiko dancers are walking swiftly in the area. It increases the cheerfulness and gaiety of the place.

Open the little curtain at the entrance and go down the stairs by the big lantern. What you see there is the Kyoto style. Have a nice chat with our owner at the counter seats. Tables are available at your preference.

If it is too much for you to call Geisha and Maiko dancers, we recommend you to enjoy our homemade chicken white noodles as they taste like condensed food culture of Kyoto. We also have sake made in Kyoto breweries.

Enjoy our original chicken white straight noodles with thick soup used selected domestic chicken bones for soup stock.
